Fatoe 1999

Fatoe 1999 Commemorating the start of my career with my first ID / logo

Originally created in 1999 from a photograph of me leaning over to spray paint the train tracks at the infamous Motor Yards - circa 1996.

It was originally created in Photoshop 3 by crudely cutting out from a photo with basic fill-ins. Later properly traced in illustrator and was made into the logo for my website Fatoe.com and also into stickers that I’d slap up whenever and wherever I went at the time. I’ve always felt synonymous with the visual. I was in my early twenties - I’m 45 now.

As the years went on I adopted other IDs but this one’s special in its relation to its nexus event effect with my peers and contemporaries over the years.

I had lost the original .AI file over the years but it was rebuilt 20+ years after it’s inception.

And now in 2022 we plant replant roots.
